Thermodynamic Limit

In statistical mechanics, a thermodynamic limit consists of taking $V,N\to \infty$ and keeping $\frac{N}{V}$ constant, where

• $V$ is the volume
• $N$ is the number of Particles
• $\frac{N}{V}$ is the density of Particles
